This Exo Terra Box is based on the suspended incubation method, that is, the eggs will be placed in a tray specifically designed to be "above" the water or substrate, "not in contact" with the wet substrate. This method not only ensures maximum gas exchange between the permeable membrane of the egg and the surrounding air in the container, it also allows the egg to absorb sufficient moisture from the environment within the incubator.

The rectangular shape of this Setter Box uses interior space more efficiently than those with rounded corners. The Exo Terra Incubator Box is ideal for use with the Exo Terra Precision Incubator (PT2444). The Precision Incubator can hold up to 6 Setter Boxes stacked individually or 12 Setter Boxes stacked two at a time. 

SAFER INCUBATOR BOX

Increased oxygen uptake results in better uptake rates and stronger offspring . The tray is specifically designed to hold 12 eggs with a maximum size of 38 x 18 mm, and prevents the hatchlings from entering the water or the substrate area. This prevents them from drowning in water or suffering from impaction by ingesting substrate particles (that were attached to their skin) while eating their first skin change.

EASIER SUSPENDED INCUBATION

Conventional incubation methods with wet substrate are based on the constant and complicated control of the humidity levels of the substrate, while the suspended incubation method does not give any complications.

INCUBATION WITHOUT SUBSTRATE

The substrateless incubation method is more hygienic and keeps the eggs separate, preventing mold growth. 

EASY TO CLEAN

The Incubator Box which is made of durable, non-toxic, food grade polypropylene, can be easily cleaned and sanitized, and can be used with multiple attachments. 

INCLUDES THERMOMETER

The built-in thermometer allows you to examine the current temperature within the Egg Setter Box itself rather than relying on the overall setter temperature measurement. 

100% VISIBILITY

The transparent sides and large window on the lid of the Setter Box make it easy to monitor eggs, temperature or the hatching process without opening the lid. The transparent tray for eggs makes it possible to observe them. Instead of removing the reptile eggs from the substrate (as is done with the traditional incubation method) or removing them from the tray, you can pick up the tray and place it without having to move them .
