Reptology presents the Turtle Topper by PENN-PLAX. This Jurassic-styled basking platform is designed to safely mount above your aquatic turtle tank, providing your pet with a place to dry off, get warm, and relax. This additional space offers a healthier and more spacious aquatic environment for your aquatic turtles.
Tank Compatibility: The Turtle Topper is designed for standard-sized tanks up to 55 gallons and 13 inches wide, including tank sizes like 10 gallons, 20L, 20H, 29 gallons, and 55 gallons, among others. Within minutes of installing this platform, you'll notice your turtles gravitating towards it, making it ideal for most breeds of aquatic turtles who love basking out of the water.
Secure Mounting: The Turtle Topper utilizes two adjustable 1.5-inch suction cup mounts that securely lock onto the walls of your tank. To ensure a strong and secure bond, it's recommended to clean and wash the suction cups with water before mounting, as well as the contact areas on the sides of the tank. The cleaner they are, the stronger the bond.
Easy Access: The platform features a textured docking ramp, providing your pet with an easy climb to the upper level where they can bask, eat, and enjoy their time above water. The docking ramp measures 5.75 inches wide at its narrowest point and is 8 inches long.
Best of Both Worlds: The Turtle Topper includes a hanging platform that sits just below the waterline. This allows your turtle to rest while being partially submerged, but it can also be removed if space is limited in your setup. The hanging platform measures 11.25 inches by 4 inches.
Convenient & Spacious: The basking platform consists of a clear top with ridges that allow you to mount two clamp-style heat lamps (not included). Additionally, a central metal grill door allows heat to pass through while providing easy access to your pet. It's easy to open, close, and lock in place. The grill door measures 7.25 inches by 8 inches.
